"Bob (from hex "1408")" is a longtime member of the Explorers Guild. He often wears a neat cape; it looks a lot like the Explorer's Guild flag.

He was introduced to the heroes of the country when he walked up and said "Hey guys." When questioned he explained he was from "hex 1407." On a later occasion Silias questioned him saying: "There is no village in hex 1407!" And Bob said "I said 1408; 1407 is mountains and is terribly cold." When it was pointed out there was no village there either, he said: "Well there isn't ANYMORE!"

The story has been garbled with retellings (you know how these things are), but either the Explorers Guild marched into town and said: "Imperialism or death!" and Bob said "Imperialism!", or his hamlet was burned down by monsters (being close to the borders of Mardur). Either way he happily jumped on the bandwagon of colonization and progress, and has never looked back (since he learned about all these neat innovations, like indoor running water).

Since then he has been an infrequent but reoccurring face amongst the Guild; to the point that some of the Explorers think of him as a sort of unofficial mascot (especially Kendric). He hasn't been seen around much lately, but maybe he's been off getting training, so he can level up from peasant.
