{{#if:Snow Elf|}} {{#if:Cleric|}} {{#if:|}} Talus Aradonis is one of the Dawnbringers of the Divines, an order of clerics devoted to upholding the Divine Tenet He has lived through many wars, and usually has taken the role of a battle cleric. As with all Snow Elves, he has an unusually long lifespan, usually reaching into the hundreds of years. He received weapons training at a young age, as his people had great need to defend themselves from bandits, undead, and hobgoblins that came from the forests and mountain paths around his home.

Talus is 241.

History

The same as many of his people, Talus was born in the Carthain Mountains in the Northern Lands, called Mjarenhar. Nothing truly remarkable happened in his life until at the age of 25, he took to learning the Divine Tenet. It was after these studies when he decided to finally make The Oath of the Divine.

The First Great War of Pharae

Some time after he took the Oath, the First Great War of Pharae began. The peoples of the Carthain Mountains were conscripted into the service of Earl Beorc, and during the battle of Highwind Pass, the unit they were attached to was annihilated. As Talus was in the city of Mellior at the time, he escaped this fate. After another year of service to the clergy, and after he had finally attained the rank of Dawnbringer, he was then conscripted into the Pharaen Vanguard as a battle cleric.

Life after the War

He survived the First Great War of Pharae, his unit assimilated into the few remaining Pharaen Knights. He has since taken his time after the war to travel the countryside, eventually leaving Pharae altogether. This was a time of great indecisiveness on Talus's part, he had nowhere to go, and nowhere to return.

Personality

Generally speaking, Talus is friendly and easygoing, yet he is also snide and somewhat crude. He puts a lot of value into his friends, and will gladly go to extreme lengths to help them if he is able. Talus is also known to drink a lot, and will mooch and gossip while drunk, although, almost nothing he says while drunk should be taken at face value.

Talus abhors undead in any form, and will go to great lengths to sanctify unhallowed lands and cleanse undead, and will even work with others he normally would regard with disdain if it furthers this agenda.

Dawnbringer

(Dawnbringer Holy Symbol)

The Dawnbringers are a sect of devout clerics and paladins devoted to the service of the Divines. They uphold the Divine Tenet, as well as consecrate defiled or plagued lands. Sworn to service in the name of the Divines, they can be called to arms in times of dire need, or when an inquisition has been declared. Although, with Talus this is generally the fastest way to lose his allegiance.

National Allegiance

Talus owes no allegiance to any faction at this point in time, and currently prefers to find work as a mercenary. He prefers work that doesn't put him in a morally-compromising position.

He will openly defy a contract if he feels that it violates his morals. To date, he has defied three clients, all in Pharae.
