Morigan
Morigan hails from, Grenok, a small farming community in the water soaked river valley that nourishes and supports Mardur. She grew as most orcs do, simply and a bit too fast. Though originally arranged to become her village's medicine woman and sage, she was drafted into the Mardurian army, and soon found herself enrolled in the Free College of Sorcery where she graduated from in DY 6.

Apart from her duties as a regular in the Mardurian army and occasionally advising Thorne on magical matters, Morigan is also pursuing research into the nature of magical rifts and their interactions with relics of power.

An avid believer in the college's mission to allow anyone to explore magic freely, Morigan has extensively contributed to the Grimore of Open Sourcery

The War of the Rift
Morigan was present for The War of the Rift of DY 7. She helped recover the lost artifacts of the magi scholars and successfully completed the Trials of the Magi. She, along with Gurp Gorp and Obi, defeated the avatar Uurgal-Who-Feeds-the-Crows, and held the Bracer of Mending until it was lost during the ill fated journey of The Fortune's Breath.
Mage Spells
Burning Hands
You, a spark so small and frail,
Draw in might without compare.
Smolder, smoke and turn alight,
Crackle, burn and soul ignite
You, a tiny fickle flame,
In my aura be sustained
With my breath, rise and grow.
In my palms, burning glow.
Heat and raze, scorch and burn.
Smoke and fire, bind your turn.
Crackle-flame, now burning bright
Blazing fire, magic might
Mana form and power raise
Hands bore out, and now a blaze
Born in fire, sun at noon
Dancing flame will spell their doom.
I {Caster} invoke burning hands!

Mage Bolt
Tall green tree and dirt below
Waves that crash and things that flow
Burnt wood crack and fire spout
Airy gust and thunder shout
Eye of newt and pinch of hair
Spit and blood and bone to spare
Spoil’d bean and grain of sand
Grow my pearl and eat my hand
In a ball that soon will burst
Breaking magic, bounded first
Caught inside my tiny ball
You will make them cry and fall
I, {Caster} invoke Mage Bolt.
Mending
All you’ve broken, shall be fixed.
Bent and fractured, mend and knit
Steel and Leather, Wood and Iron
Each shall bow before my power.

Repeat 4 more times

I, {Caster} invoke Mending
Comprehend Languages
Secrets written and stories told
Lore once fresh now grows old
Words are spoke, written down
wisdom lost and turned around
We forget our mother's tongue
Heads get muddied, full of dung
Meaning mixed and poems lost
Years and time have such great cost.
But in there letters, there's meaning still
Forget the words and talk we will
Words and letters, lost with age
Reveal your wisdom on this page.
I {Caster} invoke Comprehend Languages
Detect Traps
Hidden trap and cunning snare
Spike-lined pit and poisoned air
From your spots call to me,
let my steps be blunder free.
Repeat 3 more times

I invoke Detect Traps!

Lightning Bolt
Oh great North Wind, cold and strong,
Bearing Winter, old and long
Head you child’s beck and call
Answer now this thunderous song.
Oh great East wind, Mountain blown
Through the trees quake and moan
Heed your child’s Beck and call
Answer now this Thunderous song
Oh great South wind, Bold and warm
Tropic tempests, Surging storms
Heed your child’s Beck and Call
Answer now this thunderous song.
Oh great west wind, Who stirs the sea
Rouse your waves, Hear my pleas
Head your child’s beck and call
Answer now this thunderous song.
All you great winds, gathered round
Bring in darkness – thunder: sound
Summon Thunder, lightning crack
Rolling darkness, sky: turn black
Arching power, roaring clouds
Breaking thunder, make them bow!
I, {Caster} Invoke Lightning Bolt!
Dispel Magic
Counter twist and pull apart
Drafted mana spun with art,
A yarn of power, roving, willed
Of ill-intent is often pilled.
Magic forged and tempered spells
Quenched in hatred often fail.
Brittle power, Hard and sharp
Now you crack and fall apart.
Will dries up, and parched it bolts
Magic sheds, and crinkled, molts.
Fires smolder, cough and smoke
This enchantment shall be broke.
Repeat

Basic Building Supplies
Adhesive
DAP (rubber cement), red can (non-gel based) - accept no other! Best for building. Not good in cold weather.
Available at: Walmart, most hardware stores
Brand: DAP!

Spray Glue: some people prefer spray glue. It will work, but is generally not as good as DAP. Can be harder to control (spray can). Often preferable for shields, just because of large surface area.
Available at: Walmart, most hardware stores
Example Brand: 3M Super 77 (reputedly works better than Super 90 for foamwork, YMMV) or related.

Double Sided Tape: useful for quick repairs, and securing things like rope (handles) and counterweights. Some people use it for entire weapons (probably best not to unless you seriously can't use either of the other options). Works for some people. Not waterproof.
Available at: places (seriously, sorta hit or miss)
Brands: pff, beats me. Good luck (use DAP).

Foam
Ozark Camp Pad (aka "blue foam") - The cheapest foam that will commonly work for our sport. Decent, but not a high performance foam. Decent for pretty much everything that requires foam on the weapon. Less than $10.
Available at: Walmart
Brand: Ozark (it's blue, wrapped in cheap plastic. Less than $10)

Ensolite ("yoga pad") - warning: specific type of yoga pad (NOT all yoga pads, or even most, are ok). "Stabbing tip foam." Good for stabbing tips. Rubbery type foam. Normally requires 3/8"-3/4" (1-2 layers) over the blade on a normal stabbing weapon. (A roll lasts forever. Might want to split with someone.)
Available at: Walmart, most places with a sports section
Example Brand: Gold's Gym Yoga Mat (slight ripple, 3/8" thick)
http://www.geddon.org/Ensolite

4# foam ("floor mat") - optional. Useful in "progressive density" builds. The idea is to use stiffer foam near the core (which absorbs shock better) to build (broaden) the core out, then progressively softer foams closer to the striking surface. The most easily accessible source is the firm jigsaw puzzle "floor mat" pieces you can find at many hardware stores for in the shop.
Pro: often increases gear life (less likely to "tip out"/rip the tip off your weapon), can hit nicer and/or make more streamlined gear.
Con: can be expensive (especially at top end). Foam needs to be firm, but not brittle.
Basic level: no real reason not to, but also not necessary.
Available at: Harbor Freight (my favorite), some hardware stores. (I didn't like the stuff I got at Walmart. YMMV)
Example Brand: "4 Piece Anti-Fatigue Foam Mat Set" (Harbor Freight), some kids area jigsaw play-mats
http://www.harborfreight.com/4-piece-anti-fatigue-foam-mat-set-94635.html

Cores
Solid Fiberglass - best general core. Tends to be white. Decent weight; awesome durability. 1/2" is best to use for blues (can be used for min reds). 5/8" for longer reds. 3/8" can be used for short blues.
Available at: TAP Plastics, Goodwinds (online), Fred Meyers (garden section; "Miracle Grow" brand, green), ...online places, feed stores/farm supply/granges (sometimes)

Kitespar (aka Epoxy wound filament tubing)- performance core. Ultra light, low-medium durability. Advanced core: your weapon will break sooner or later. (Do not block reds; just call dead.) WILL have to counterweight to make Belegarth legal. .524 > .505 *don't use for Reds
Available at: TAP Plastics, Goodwinds (online), ...online places, kite shops

Bandshoppe Pole - best polearm core. Fiberglass (NOT metal). Used by flag teams/color guards. Almost unbreakable under normal use.
Available at: Online
http://www.geddon.org/Bandshoppe_pole

PVC - low end generic core. Not really particularly good at anything. But easily available, and at least the handle is more or less the right size already. Good for first time builders, because it has a larger build surface, and it's inexpensive and widely available. Plus side: pretty good for flails.
Available at: hardware stores
