In February of 5DY, she captured and improved the [[Bitterpeak]] flag, turning into Candy Mountain, complete with peppermints and glitter. It now serves as a symbol of her land.

A ancient fortress thought lost to the mists of yore.

Constructed by famed stonesmiths of several peoples, who painstakingly quarried stone of unsurpassed density and strength and then polished to a mirrorlike sheen, before fitting them together as precisely if they had come from the earth together. After decades and centuries it was said that the stone still gleamed, the elements having not yet begun to wear the stone.

But quality and durability of its stonework is not what the fortress is best known for, for the castle was built around a spring, which lay at the heart of its courtyard. As the castle grew, the spring because a pool, and eventually an elaborate fountain was built to hold its waters. [[Fountain of Healing|These waters]] are said to have the ability to heal anyone, as long as they still lived.

It was captured by a vast army, led by [[Alicaryn]] and [[Raven]]. They refurbished the castle's interior, and are currently leasing it rent-free to [[ The Circle of the Forge]].

Castle Kissmyanthia is the part of the adventure reward from All's Faire 2015: [http://www.dargarth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=915 Race to the Lost Keep].

Ownership of it grants the controlling player or country one "Cure Mortal Wounds" potion per event, which expires at the end of the day (use it or lose it). In addition it is a maintenance free fortification (no upkeep cost).

Castle Kissmyanthia is an invadable hex as normal, using the invasion/army rules.

The original warbands hailed from the [[great desert]]. There they have historically been a semi-nomadic and warrior people, until the spread of the "civilized" nations and their borders began to encroach on the lands the people had always ranged. Finally the leaders of the tribes gathered and held council, and in the end decided to unite to protect their people and their way of life.

As a mercenary company, Legion maintains an impeccable service record when under contract. However when left to its own devices it can prove to be unpredictable, for it is subject to the whims and friendships (and grudges) of its warriors.

===History===
While many of the warriors of Legion spent a fair while traveling and working as hired swords amongst the various nations of Dargarth, the first report of Legion organized occurred early in [[2 DY]] in the [[Claw of Misery|far north]], where the people were sickened and dying to an unknown disease. Battle had broken out between the surviving villagers and an evil mage who they blamed for the plague. Though the wizard was aided by several nations (bought off with gold), amidst the chaos of melee [[Mowgli]] was able to strike a telling blow on the mage, earning him and Legion the [[Box of Enchanting]]. At the next gathering Legion unveiled their banner and made known their territorial claim upon the map of Dargarth.

== Real World History - "Team [[Belegarth]]"==

'''Legion''' was founded as a country for Belegarth cross-gamers at Dargarth. The intent was to create a group for cross-gamers so they can easily participate when visiting. Since its creation it has become an excuse for the Washington Belegarth and Dagorhir groups to meet at a central location and fight those we don't otherwise normally see. ''"Legion"'' was chosen for as Belegrim we are many, and the ''Chaos Star'' as our symbol because what other design is used more throughout Belegarth and Dagorhir?

Legion is comprised mostly of Belegarth fighters, though it is by no means exclusive and counts members of Dagorhir, Amtgard, and Dargarth among its ranks. While a majority of Belegarth cross-gamers are Legion members, several are members of [[Mardur]], and [[Endor]] was founded by the fighters of Talinor, the Kitsap County Belegarth/Dagorhir realm.

== Out-of-Character Note==

It is Legion policy to mount an attack on a country if they have failed to appear for three (3) or more months. The reason being is that after that point the nobles may declare a country disbanded. We don't want a country to go "defunct;" we wish to create a good reason for you to gather your forces and come out and visit. We would much rather have a fun and rowdy fight day with friends (or friendly rivals) than to see your country declared abandoned and wiped from the map.

Goodlo Bar is a fertile track with temperate weather, with one of Dargarth's major rivers flowing through its borders. It is defined by the ocean to the north-west, the [[Sheablands]] to the south-west, and [[Elkstone Keep]] and a town built upon the bones of an ancient tower to the east. The plantations and farms of the area produce the majority of Legion's sugar supply. It is the notable home of [[Alicaryn]] and [[Seryn]].

A feud almost erupted between ''Goodlo Bar'' and the upland region of the [[Sheablands]]. Missives joking about a possible civil war were misinterpreted, and things escalated wildly through rumor and hearsay. When Alicaryn pointed out that the much-desired sweets would not be forthcoming in the event of an attack, the owner of the Sheablands thought that she was threatening to withhold said sweets. He then threatened to dam the river which provides the vast majority of ''Goodlo Bar's'' irrigation.

Issues were eventually settled before they could escalate to physical confrontation, and as an aside, ''Goodlo Bar'' gained ownership of the male half of [[Legion]]'s [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Shepherd German Shepherd] breeding stock, to help ensure the future stability of the region. Further agreements including a pact not to interfere with [[Rasheab's]] monopoly of employment of the shepherdesses, and Alicaryn's monopoly of the shepherds.

== The Wolfmother ==
In Bloodmoon Cult lore, The Wolfmother is the mother of Dargarth. She is a divine fore of creation and wildness and it is she who gave birth to Dargarth approximately 3000 years ago.

== The Bloodspawn ==
After Dargarth was born, the Wolfmother bled on the soil of her new child and spawn the Bloodspawn. The Bloodspawn were born to protect and unite the creatures of Dargarth in the name of the Wolfmother. they are mortal autonomous extensions of the Wolfmother's power. Originally the Bloodspawn could change form between man and wolf which was symbolic of their guardianship over both Dargarth's wild natural essence, and its elements of progressive human consciousness. They drew much of their power and wisdom from the juxtaposition of these two states of consciousness, animal and human.

== The False Prophet ==
The False Prophet is a lesser divine entity that existed in the universe before Dargarth just like the Wolfmother. In its natural state it is undefined and vague in most aspects and as such it seeks to gain more power by defining itself through the consciousnesses of sentient life forms and using those definitions to create a a conduit through which to more effectively channel its divine abilities. On its mission for power it became present on Dargarth approximately 2000 years ago and began subtly affecting the minds of it's people. It built rumors about a true prophet/deity that the people should follow and these rumors spread. Soon enough the image of a new prophet was in enough people's minds that the False Prophet could tap into the collective consciousness and inhabit the ideas it had planted giving it physical form, and enough power to subdue the minds of the people of Dargarth beyond hope of them remembering their true goddess, The Wolfmother. However, The Bloodspawn, being extensions of the Wolfmother's power, were too strong and too connected to the Wolfmother to forget and succumb to the False Prophet's influence. They tried to fight it, but the people that the Bloodspawn were meant to protect fought against them and the False Prophet drove the Bloodspawn into hiding. Splintered and exiled, the Bloodspawn lay in wait for the time to strike back once again against the False Prophet.

== The Prophecy ==
On the night of the blood moon eclipse, the bloodsages of the forgotten tribe received a vision of the False Prophets defeat at the hands of the Bloodspawn. They took this as a sign that it was time to fight for the Wolfmother once more and the Bloodspawn rose out of hiding to find and rid Dargarth of the parasite known to them as the False Prophet.

Although not technically Knights in the Realm of Dargarth, the land from which they hail(the Kingdom of Erzoth) they were a prestigious Knight Order. Followers of the Dragon of Justice, Erz, they kept the peace in the land, helping wherever they saw fit. Eventually, their kingdom was attacked by the Kingdom of Tikana. The ever ambitious King Johann led the Tikanins into Erzothian land hoping to be able to expand his empire. A few battles were fought, and after a long bloody war the Erzothians were defeated. Before leading the remainder of his troops to hold off the approaching forces, the King of Erzoth asked Knight-Commander Alaric Vaiird to take the battered remainder of his Knights and go north to the fabled land of Dargarth. Taking their fastest ship they set off immediately, but the long journey was made harder due to many who wanted to return to their homeland and take it back. Obeying the last orders of his King, Alaric(along with his Lieutenant Furnavi)put down a mutiny attempting to overthrow those who would remain loyal to their king. With their numbers even more thinned, and supplies running low, during a storm they ran their ship into the southern coast of Dargarth in the ruins of the country of the Alliance. Seeing disorder and no signs of a government the remaining Knights stepped in and reformed their Knight Order to bring peace to the lands of the Alliance. They stand for Justice and Honor.

The Knight Commander is appointed by the old one, or the current one can be voted out of his position by the rest of the Knights. The Knights of Erzoth were founded hundreds of years ago. The legends say that their founder Knight-Commander Lyonell was saved by a gold dragon by the name of Erz. Lyonell asked the Dragon what it could do to repay it for saving his life and the Dragon told him "Follow my commandments and bring peace to these lands". Founding the Kingdom of Erzoth alongside the Knights of Erzoth, they followed the Dragons code of honor vigilantly. After King Lyonells death, it was decided that his son should only take over as King, and that the Knight should remain under separate leadership to make sure the King doesn't stray from the code of honor. Eventually, Alaric Vaiird was promoted to the position of Knight-Commander after Furnavi refused the position.
