At twenty-five, after an argument with his father, he left Bitter Peak to find his mother's people, the elves.  He was released by the Lord of Blood, [[Uulmshar]], who needed a body-double to lead military actions in his stead. The two had similar features, and Conrich's mediocre acting skills would fit the job perfectly. Obviously, he agreed, and was given a wardrobe imitating Uulmshar's own.<br>
