The '''Great Southern Desert''' is the largest desert on the face of Dargarth. It lies in the south-east of the continent, and contains over 80% of all known desert terrain. While the [[Order of Mardur]] and [[Alliance]] have token presences there (Alliance holding a single hex on the eastern edge, and Mardur operates a small mining operation), [[Legion]] holds the northern reaches (including their capital) and is known to be protective of the region<sup>1</sup>.
