These “wild men of the forest” are anything but. Standing two feet taller than the average human, the Sasquatch possess significant strength and do not hesitate to use it. Sasquatch have proven to be violently territorial, attacking woodsmen and other unfortunate intruders. Their large footprints and strong smell are warnings to experienced rangers that danger is near. Their bodies are covered in hair, which provides good camouflage in their forest habitats.

While they possess some form of intelligence, Sasquatch don’t seem to form the same sorts of societies as other humanoids. Sasquatch have never been observed in significant numbers, and they do not possess any known form of language. When interlopers intrude into their territory, sasquatch often seem to hide and wait for them to leave. Occasionally though, something sets off a sasquatch and they turn aggressive. What provokes them is unpredictable, and its recommended for travelers to avoid known sasquatch territory.

Sasquatch seem to understand the concept of weapons, but do not make their own. Instead, they slash opponents with sharp claws or simply pummel them with fists. It is recommended that anyone fighting a sasquatch stays away from their powerful blows, perhaps relying on polearms to keep them out of reach. Archers can also serve well against sasquatch, because they have no answer to the range of bows or javelins. Another vulnerability of the sasquatch is their lack of magical abilities. Mages can ensnare or freeze sasquatch before they get close enough to utilize their powerful claws. With that said, they are still tough, dangerous opponents. They are often able to withstand blows that would fell a smaller beast, and can deal out tremendous blows with great ferocity.
