Appearance

Barbarians are simply groups of Humans that live outside of more developed and formalized country structures. Their rough lives in what other Humans would consider wilderness can make them dangerous and unpredictable foes, but their lifestyles have also made them stronger and bigger than the average Human. Many different tribes of Barbarians roam the landscapes of Dargarth and their appearance differs from them all. The arctic tribes have lighter skin and don furs to protect them from the elements, while the desert tribes have much darker skin and wear almost nothing to combat the heat. Battles for territory and dominance are often waged between tribes and often against other cultures, such as nomadic tribes of Orcs. Mutual contempt often makes for difficult relations between ‘barbarous’ and ‘civilized’ peoples.

Behaviour

Some tribes of Barbarians appear to be nomadic while others have stationary villages. These uncivilized people have been seen on every landscape on Dargarth. Each tribe has their own unique customs, dress, and temperment. While some are very aggressive and cater to more primal tendencies, others have been documented to being docile, almost seen as "Gentle Giants."

Combat

Although they have the typical Human ingenuity, Barbarians are often less equipped than Humans from civilized countries. This means they are most often armoured in simple leathers and furs, rather than the heavier armours other Humans might wear into battle. This is not undesired though, because it is often a higher priority for them to move quickly and silently through their home terrain. A Barbarian's ferocity in battle is legendary, and they possess a toughness rarely found in more settled Humans.
