#REDIRECT Church of Hades
The Cult of Hades is a loose religion characterized by the worship of the deity of death, generally called Hades. With devotees scattered across The First Kingdom (and assumedly the rest of world), it is a fast-growing religion, with many powerful clerics rising to the call of the underlord. Hades' clerics are called apostles.

Clerics
The chosen few who were both unlucky enough to die, and lucky enough to meet Hades, are gifted with wondrous powers over life and death, and commanded to maintain the natural order of life and death. These few are the spearhead of the Cult of Hades, and most worshipers answer to an apostle.<br>

Current High Priest of Hades is Uulmshar. Other known apostles are Kendall and Sir Byron.

Practices
The Cult of Hades' main goal is to guide souls to the underworld; to keep the natural cycle of life and death.

This is achieved in two basic ways:

Returning escaped souls
Those who escape fate are keeping their souls from Hades. Ghosts, ghouls, and vampires are the direct results of souls resisting the pull of the underlord. These abominations must be destroyed.

Destruction of necromancers
Necromancers contort the natural process of death for their own gain. Beings who abuse this power must be stopped and punished.

Cathedrals
Most religions have a deity of death. The Cult of Hades sees them all as aspects of the same entity. This belief of a single god with many incarnations came to be reflected in the Cult's cathedrals, which contain a public shrine with idols of death gods from the many religions of the First Kingdom, including Malum and the Wolfmother.
