When the [Knights of Erzoth] shipwrecked nearby, her people were some of the first to meet them. Offering assistance in claiming their own land, the elves agreed to join the Erzothans, and Genevieve acted as ranger for the knights.
Too late, did her people realize, however, that Erzoth is a rigid imperialistic group. Genevieve watched as the culture of her people was all but wiped out by the structured and honor-bound code of Erz. It did not forgive the carefree lifestyle of the elves. King [Thorne] I, of Mârdûr, approached the nomadic elves, and offered them asylum within his free country. There were several other tribal Elven groups that had joined Mârdûr, and Genevieve easily agreed.
