Need backstory on this item; I wasn't "in" on the quests enough to know what was up: where it came from, what it was used for, and why it was needed.
After the defeat of Mistlav and Lerin, this artifact was recovered from Silassa mere minutes before one of her couriers would have snuck it out of the region. Legion and Erzoth disagreed about the dispensation of the artifact; in the end it was bequeathed to Sir Byron to hold.
