Uulmshar is a founder and councilor of the Mercenaries of Bitter Peak.
Early life
Born in the Bitter Peak mountain city, to a human mother (father unknown, assumed elf). At the age of six, he was sold to a farmer from the southeast. He plowed many fields, fed many animals, and picked turnips until his hands bled. On the day of his fourteenth birthday, he fled the farm, back to the mountain.
Ranger
Uulmshar had long disdained the company of other humans, and the elves of the island had long since gone into hiding, so he lived alone, near the peak of the mountain. For six years, he honed his body and mind and familiarized himself with the land. He lived only by his own strength, and grew to dislike the humans of the city below him even more, as they had to rely on the assistance of others to even eke out a pitiful existence. Then, war came to the mountain. The four lords of the land were fighting. Long had he wished to prove to himself of his strength of will and muscle- he gladly threw himself at the feet of the charismatic Twisting Lord; one he proudly called Sir Lucien. Personality is not a power that he had, so to ally himself with a man of words made much sense to him. Following the events of the Battle for the Grove, they easily beat back those that rejected his lord's rule, and established a loose society of mercenaries in the city-state of Bitter Peak. He designed a flag, and they carried it everywhere they went. They captured the lands to the east of the mountains and opened up old trade routes to the south. Swelled, his pride was, when his suggestion to expand beyond their island was taken to heart by Lord Lucien. Their trade negotiations had recently been spurned and spat upon by the Knights of Solaris-the nobles ruling The Isles of Langerhausen. Their spies reported that they were weak and given to bouts of hedonism and apathy. Uulmshar gladly lead the rally to gather their men for war, yet, when they arrived, he witnessed a force many times larger than his. He had little worry, however, as Lucien and his council had made a glorious battle plan. It was bound to work. As soon as the battle started, however, there rose a cry of "Knights of Solaris," but not from where he expected. Mortally wounded from an attack from behind, he fell as several more sword cuts buffeted his back. He passed into darkness as he watched the forces under his command slaughtered by their own.
