Astafas if a former member of the Cult of Bromous on the island of the Little Garden.

Astafas was part of the Cult of Bromous, a group of druids, clerics and mages dedicated to the worship of the great Green Dragon, Bromous. Astafas was kicked out of the cult for unknown reasons. However, he did manage to keep his key and magical ring. When the Dragon Bromous was slain by adventurers the cultists ended up dying off due to a curse. The cultists had a large treasure horde, but after Astafas was kicked out they moved the location. Astafas was afraid to explore the island due to the giants creatures that had taken it over.

When the adventurers returned to Little Garden he was excited and saw an opportunity to retrieve the gold once and for all. He made deals with the adventurers to help them out if they returned the enchanted gold to him. He traded potions, gems, glass beads and a valuable egg. Eventually members of the Explorers Guild and their allies were able to locate the caves with the hidden treasure. WIth only a few deaths they were able to retrieve the treasure of the Cultists.

Astafas has short term memory problems, loves enchanted gold and has a fear of spiders. Know that the treasure is recovered he is considering a change of scenery to another part of Dargarth.
