The Mercenaries of Bitter Peak is the military junta controlling the large mountainous island in the North and several smaller islands throughout Dargarth. The capitol is The Bitter Peak.
Country History
Long has there been a city of dwarves living under the largest mountain in Dargarth, called Bitter Peak by humans. After losing numerous skirmishes to bandits and the local elves, the dwarves fled, leaving their mountain empty. Local vagrants, bandits, and exiles started living in the ruins, making shanty towns. Eventually, a proper city started to regrow beneath the mountain, and from it, a militia to defend them. The militia soon took control as the ruling party. They expanded. The black flag of Bitter Peak became infamous on the island in the north. Several Lords rose to power and took control of smaller sections of the island.
