Tower of Mending

The longest battle of the Legion-Mardur War of 7 DY. Legionaires, aided by the mending magics of Bob, fought a force of Mardurians backed by a goblin catapult.

The siege engine was destroyed, while most of the Mardurians and Legionaires were killed one by one, the Mardurians by hails of arrows and the Legionaires by falling boulders. In the end Legion fought to the last defender. Amongst the defenders Alicaryn and Bob were the last standing, holding the gate. Kit was pierced through many limbs but managed to drag herself by one arm back to the siege engine guarded by the armored Thorne and Gurp Gorp. Utilizing her magics, she managed to mend the catapult, and the gate of the tower was finally shattered and the hedgemage and archer were overrun by the armored Mardurians, finally ending the battle mere minutes before the siege would have ended in favor of the defenders. Thorne, Gurp Gorp, and an injured Kit were the only survivors.

Afterwards the tower at the center of the battle was named the Tower of Mending or The Mended Tower in remembrance of the many times the gate was destroyed and mended during the long battle.
